I'm tWitty

ABC's "The Bachelor" is back and good God is it filled with some crazies this season. Lots of criers, lots of hating, and plenty of drama. I obviously will continue to watch for all 3 of those reasons, but this season is a bit extreme, I will admit. I love following Twitter during these hot mess episodes and this week I decided to contribute to the madness. One of my favorite past eligible bachelors was PA Real Estate enthusiast, Reid Rosenthal (Jillian's season for those who follow the "reality" series). He had some good comments, so I decided to tweet my thoughts back.

Who is Courtney? Well, Courtney is a contestant who at first impression is drop dead gorgeous (profession being a model of course) but then naturally the producers have made her out to be a total conceded bitch....so far. That seems to happen every season to one girl or another but at the end of the day the words come out of their own mouths so you have to believe TV, right? Regardless every time I saw this girl I kept thinking she looks incredibly familiar. I thought at first that she looked liked one of my sisters friends, who is also gorgeous. But it wasn't until @ReidRosenthal made a comment about E.T that it clicked (and I have no idea why). Courtney looks like Olga from the hit comedy, "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story". Now according to previews and recent episodes, Courtney seems to the be one of the front runners, which coincidentally is just like Team Globo Gym. Don't get me wrong, Courtney has got it goin' on, but I just can't look at her without seeing the connection.......it's definitely the eyebrows.

I guess Reid shared in my laughter when finding the small similarity in appearance because a friend pointed out he shared my tweet on his blog....pretty cool I guess.

Visit Reid's blog here to see the post and get a rundown of this weeks crazy town.

For all we know maybe she's a "double threat" and does screen work, too. Only time will tell. I hope she gets the next date card, or doesn't and decides to pummel some of the others with giant balls. Till Monday....

Office Theft and Lean Cuisines

There's an a-hole in my office (possibly multiple) who prey off the gourmet lunches, frozen foods, leftovers, lean cuisines, open soda cans, etc. It's disgusting. The occasional victims tend to send out emails relaying their lost and/or stolen goods. I have to say, by far, the worst was when a guy in the Production office sent out an email about his slice of pizza on his desk, half eaten, along with the half drank soda mysteriously disappearing during a bathroom visit. What the hell is wrong with people? The emails normally are followed by a few more "missing person foodies" examples and multiple reasons proving how much of an ass this person really seems to be. I normally read them but don't throw in any comments.........until today. I sent one of my very own.

Within minutes I got a few responses....mostly all, telling me their tale. Some of the repulsive things I have heard (and now envisioned) make me wonder what this persons home might look like. This person (and maybe their gang) have found more than just ways of stealing food, to I guess, get their laughs? Gross. I can't even begin to type it.

I work with some awesome, amazing people. Most of which are extremely well kept and respectful to others. The thefts come in waves and for a while they were gone, but its more than usual recently. Makes you really look at people, wonder who is new to the building, and frankly, what would ever drive someone to finish off already eaten/bit into food.........especially when you don't know who it belonged to in the first place! So. Gross. I do know that this person better keep up their skills at remaining a phantom because the day they are caught, it will be so immensely embarrassing. And if it isn't at first, I know plenty of people who plan to make it that way. Be respectful in 2012.

2012, the End.

I don't believe it. But if an apocalypse turns to be true, I have come to the conclusion that I have no hope. Unlike Beyonce and her gf's, I am not a survivor and I'm not gonna make it. This guys gives me much hope though.

In recent conversation and in the spirit of the New Year, resolutions have been topic of multiple conversations. I never know what to pick. "Exercise More" is too common and obvious. I  hate love the people who say they are gonna do that and then quit after January, but have a year long gym membership to prove it. At least I'm being honest with myself and know I go through spurts. When choosing a resolution honesty with yourself and being realistic is key. Or at least that's what I'm telling you. For example in 2012 I am going to try not to die. That's hopefully going to be successful. Fingers crossed. In 2012 I am not going to smoke. It helps that I don't already smoke but of course, peer pressure is everywhere. In 2012 I am going to actively participate in the celebration of marriages between friends and work on the advancement of a more popular cure for hangovers. Realistic and important. So this year with your resolution focus on obtainable goals. I know I will.

In all seriousness though, a few things I still need to work on/cross off the bucket list are below. I'll be interested to look back at the end of the year (if planet Earth is still around) and see what I've been up to.

* I would like to become a "runner" again. 2011 was the year of 5k's, and I'd like to do some longer races (dropping a table on my foot on New Years Eve really went against it though)
* I would like to continue to learn to sew and finally own a sewing machine
* I would like to learn how to weld. I've been saying it for years and never attempt to even look into it
* As part of that, I plan to be more proactive when it comes to saying I'm going to do something
* I also plan to look out for #1 more than I do now. I hate saying that. I think it sounds incredibly selfish. Though I was 'burned' a few times in 2011 because I usually try to put myself in other peoples shoes, and it bit me in the butt. I believe strongly in karma. I guess I've just been waiting for it to return the favor for a while. Karma, are you there??
* Goes with the lameness of saying you plan to exercise more, but I guess its the truth. Baby girl needs to cut back on her soda intake. Diet Coke is my Coffee. I love it. I need it. I have to have it......all in moderation I guess.

and lastly, I want to visit out of town friends more often.

oh and obviously, shoot for the moon - - star in a music video with Nicki Minaj. Duh

Runaway Socks

They go in together, but come out alone. How does it happen? and why so often? If you can tell me that you've never had a missing sock, than I can tell you that I don't like you and you are lieing to my face. It's just wrong. Admit it like the rest of us. You've had socks that didn't like you or its "mate", as my mother calls them, and the sock decided to leave your life forever. You save the extra one like one day that missing sock will return. Perhaps, he will ring your door bell. You'll answer and suddenly it will jump on to your cold, clammy foot and you'll be reunited......until it wants its freedom again. Then you'll be shit out of luck. Yea, keep waiting, I'm sure it will return. We all do it. You probably have a few randos in your sock drawer right now (I mean really, why do they leave us, we have a whole drawer dedicated to them!) Or if you're like the Hennessey family growing up, you stick the single and lone socks in "the bag". A bag? Yes, a bag. With 6 members to the family, you can imagine how many "lost" socks there were. Each and every time you had a new lone ranger you had to go thru the bag to see if its long, lost mate was waiting for him, which it never was. Why would it be? That'd be too easy and convenient. Instead you thru the new sock into the bag with the rest. Unless of course it was one of the 'good ones'. Then you'd hold out for a day or two before adding it to the rest. You know what I mean, one of your favorites. We all have them so don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about. You have your go-to's and then the ones you hate to wear. Which usually looks like the pile of endagered socks sitting in the bag. How long do you wait? A few days, a week, a month? Whatever the length of time, it's probably too long.

This is always an issue when doing laundry. Maybe not every time, but far too often, wouldn't you agree? I was discussing this "situation" with my friend Gill last night (@gillweathers - huge twitter fan, follow him). Gill has a "system", but the "system" seems to fail. Are his socks outsmarting him? You decide. Gill will come home, take off his shoes, then his socks. He will throw the socks in his laundry basket together. Not together as in at the same time, but rather, literally put them together like you would after being washed. He then does the laundry, and to his surprise one will be missing when he goes to fold his clothes. How does this happen? Are our socks actually running away, or is the above picture true? Maybe our washing machines are bonusing us a new sock! Chew on that.
